What is KudoWrite?

KudoWrite is a free, browser-based writing app for long-form fiction. You draft a scene as a rough prompt, then shape it with AI — expanding, rewriting, splitting, and committing beats — until a chapter comes together. It's built for novelists and storytellers who want AI as a drafting partner without giving up control of their voice or their work. And because you bring your own model, you write entirely on your own terms — any genre, any theme, with no content filters imposed by us.

Your stories are saved to your own Google Drive. When you choose to sign in, KudoWrite creates a single file in your Drive — using Google's narrow drive.file permission, which limits access to only the files the app itself creates — so your work syncs across devices and stays entirely yours. We run no server of our own and never see your writing.
