By using kudowrite ("the app"), you agree to these terms. Please read them. They are short.
kudowrite is a browser-based fiction-writing tool. It helps writers draft, rewrite, and expand prose using AI models accessed through your own OpenRouter or Mistral account.
kudowrite is account-based: you sign in, and your writing is stored in a database we operate in the EU so it's available on every device you use. (Earlier versions stored everything in your browser and an optional file in your Google Drive; Drive sync has been removed.) What we do and don't do with that data is set out in the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old to use kudowrite. The app may generate adult-oriented creative content. By creating an account you confirm you meet this age requirement.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to it, email us.
You own everything you write. kudowrite claims no rights over your stories, notes, or anything else you create with the app. We do not sell your work, publish it, or use it to train AI models.
We store your work solely to provide the app to you. You can delete any project, or everything you've written, from within the app at any time; you can ask us to delete your whole account or send you a copy of your data by emailing admin@kudowrite.com. Deletion is permanent and there is no backup to restore from.
You are responsible for keeping your own copies of work that matters to you. See section 8 — kudowrite comes with no warranty, including against data loss.

kudowrite runs on Supabase (database and authentication), optionally uses Google for sign-in, and sends AI requests to OpenRouter or Mistral. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms:
kudowrite is not responsible for the availability or behaviour of those third-party services.
You are responsible for obtaining and securing your own OpenRouter or Mistral API key, and any charges incurred on that account are yours. kudowrite stores your key on your account, encrypted at rest, so it works across your devices; it is sent only to the provider you selected, and only to make the requests you ask for. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
kudowrite is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The app may contain bugs, go offline, or stop working at any time. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service or the AI-generated content it produces.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of kudowrite shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to loss of data or content. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. Continued use after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
